ICT France to start up new tissue machine in early 2025

 The company is currently in the process of installing a new tissue machine at its mill in Pannes, south of Paris. ICT France now announced that the centrepiece of the paper machine - the Yankee - was installed in mid-October and that the new machine will be commissioned early next year.

 

The new TM has a capacity of 70,000 tpy of tissue paper and will double ICT France's paper capacities at the mill, which already houses one machine. According to earlier reports, the project also includes the expansion of the reel and finished product warehouses as well as the converting area.

 

ICT France is a subsidiary of Italian ICT Group (Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti). The group runs further subsidiaries in Poland (ICT Poland), Spain (ICT Ibérica), Germany (ICT Deutschland) and the UK (ICT UK). In the UK, the company is currently planning a new integrated tissue mill in Deeside in the northeast of Wales.

 

Expansion planned for Italian mill as well

In Italy, ICT also recently received the green light from the town council for an expansion of its plant in Piano di Coreglia near Lucca. The expansion includes new production lines, an automated warehouse, new offices and safety and environmental sustainability measures, ICT reports. The project involves an investment of more than €50m. Work on the project is set to start in 2025 and is scheduled to be completed between 2028 and 2029.
